My favourite artist...

My favourite artist is Jorja Smith, a young english singer and composer from Walsall, an industrial town in the West Midlands. Her music style is R&B and pop, inspired in Amy Winehouse’s, her debut like singer was in the year 2016 with the single “Blue lights”.  This song is one of the reasons that I like her, because she talk about the police violence that was occurring in her country. 

Smith always said that the social problems need to be showed by the artist, for this, the current issues are something usual in her songs. I think that this makes her a great singer because she is aware of what happens in the world and with her songs she shows this reality to her audience. For me is very admirable that someone of her age have this thought.

I got to know Jorja this year when I was listening to music on Youtube, it was definitely the best gift of the Youtube autoplaylists. I wish everyone was lucky of hear her music at some time of their life.
